I last met him this academic year at the function with the Ex President Abdul Kalam and he was as always a source of inspiration to me and the many alumni including the over 3000 current school students that attended the function. When I graduated, It was his inspiration that led me to appear for the IMA exams and get called to join the services, unfortunately corporate life had already consumed me by then.

I am sure he has inspired many a young lad to join the services. A true Stanislite "Born for Gretaer things.

May his sould rest in peace.

Re: New Story in group: Maj. General (Retd.) Eustace D'souza Res

I knew Maj Gen Eustace DSouza as a child. Once he retired, he would go for
daily mass and would always hello us when he passed by. He was a true
heroic warrior unlike the others. I knew once during the war, he did not
follow orders from High command because a group of his soldiers would have
got killed. Such was the "braveheart" of this good man. May his soul rest
in peace!

Hi All
Being a Bandra Boy & Stanislite Class of 55 I knew the D'souza family and the youngest bro.Terrence now in Michigan. Incidentally, the late Maj.Gen graduated H.S. the year after I was born !  May the Risen Saviour grant him eternal rest.

Thanks

Further to my earlier comment. Another of the late Maj.Gen.'s bro. that I knew and who belonged to our local 'Club99' was the late Cedric who died in the very unforunate and allegedly suspicious Air India 'Kashmir Princess' crash in the 50's enroute to Asia over Indonesian waters during the Bandung Conference ('India-China' 'bhai-bhai' days !).

Thanks
