SSESA President Message

Jude Fernandes SJ
Dear Stanislites,

A warm welcome to all St. Stanislaus Alumni who are now spread across different corners of the world. It is an honor to be part of the Stanislite community and it is with great humility that I accept the responsibility to serve a great institution that has served the families of Bandra and its neighbors so well.

In my many years as educator that include nine plus years at Holy Family School, Andheri as Vice Principal & School Manager and six years as their parish priest, I strived to influence students to achieve an all round development besides academic excellence. Many such ventures that I began have been whole heartedly accepted by the community and continue till today.

We are today faced with a critical need to educate the masses and we at St. Stanislaus join the national mainstream in this effort. At St. Stanislaus, we want to ensure that we not only educate but also enlighten our young minds while keeping our doors open to students of all economic backgrounds.

It is equally important to note that while we celebrate 60 years of Indian independence and try to reclaim our true place in history, we seldom look back at where we came from. Thousands of students have graduated from St. Stanislaus over the years.

However, we struggle to raise funds for the many needs of the school. Needs arising in providing modern amenities and catering to the underprivileged masses. I am sure in the years ahead the Stanislite alumni community will actively support their Alma Mater.

I am reminded of what a wise man who once said "Son, move ahead in life but do not forget your roots". These are the same words I bring to you "As Stanislites move ahead in life, let us not forget the school that provided us some of our best years"

I am happy that you care. Do come back, visit your school and bring your kids too. Let them also share the great legacy of St. Stanislaus and participate in its future.

Your Principal,

Jude Fernandes SJ
